Git, as many of you are aware, is a free and open source distributed version control system.
Also, as we’re sure even more of you are aware, Git can be incredibly confusing. Not just for beginners but for experienced developers too! That’s why when we came across ohshitgit.com today, we had to share it.
Brought to us by Katie Sylor-Miller, ohshitgit is a list of errors you could experience when using Git along with methods to rectifying them.
We’ve all experienced many of these Git errors, therefore, having these examples on how to fix them is great. Even if you don’t really understand what’s going on!
For example, if you’ve ever accidentally committed to the master branch when you should’ve been on a new, separate branch, this is the solution for you.
